Open ADM File
ADM files present, up to now, two different applications, namely:
Portfolio Admin-Level Access Flag
In this use case, the ADM file is a file created when an Extensis Portfolio Catalog, identified as an FDB file, is open in administrator mode.
The ADM file should be deleted automatically when the Catalog is closed, but it can be deleted manually if this is not the case.
Microsoft Group Administrative
In this section, the ADM file is a template used by Microsoft Group Policy that describes where registry-based policy settings are stored.
The ADM file also serves functions within the user interface that administrators see in the Group Policy Object Editor when they create or modify Group Policy objects.
