Open EFX File
EFX files have two different kinds of uses, namely:
eFax Document
In this case, the EFX file is a document created by eFax, a service that sends and receives faxes as attachments via email.
The EFX file contains the text attached to the email and the body of the email, and is susceptible to being converted to PDF or TIF files using eFax Messenger.
EFX documents can come from more than fifty file types or email attachments in eFax software, including PDF, DOC, JPG, XLS, and HTML.
Jedi Knight Effects File
For Jedi Knight, EFX is an effects file used by Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, a Star Wars Jedi game in which the player chooses to follow either the light side or the dark side.
The EFX file, in this use case, contains information that describes different effects that occur throughout the game.
The EFX file is used to store information about a variety of effects such as when a lightsaber hits another lightsaber, a lightsaber hits a person, or a lightsaber hits an object.
Other effects contained in the EFX file include gunshots, bombs, and
film-related effects such as lightning bolts.
EFXs can also be opened and edited to create custom effects.
