Open EX4 File

A file with the EX4 extension is basically an executable file or compiled program written for MetaTrader.

MetaTrader is a platform compatible with PC and mobile devices, suitable for online trading of currencies, futures and CFDs.

Its main content is executable code that has been compiled from files with the MQ4 extension and can be run on the MetaTrader platform.

EX4 files are compiled by Meta Editor, included with MetaTrader. The EX4 file contains indicators, scripts or a robot called 'Expert Advisor', which is a program for automating trading and analytical processes in MetaTrader.

To open an EX4 file in MetaTrader you must put it in the "Indicators" folder, and then, by clicking on the MetaTrader 4 toolbar, select the "Indicators" folder in the left pane of the "Navigator" and then select the EX4 file. that you need to edit or open.

You must consider that in order to open an EX4 file, not only is it enough to have the appropriate application installed, but you must follow the procedure for locating the file, in the folder where the MetaTrader program is installed.
