Open JBF File
The JBF is a cache file created by the image browser component of Corel Paint Shop Pro.
About PaintShop Pro
PaintShop Pro is a raster-based vector graphics editor for Microsoft Windows based on plug-ins compatible with Adobe Photoshop.
The JBF file contains thumbnails of the image files that have been viewed, so that they can be indexed in a cache, and opened more quickly.
The JBF file allows the program to quickly display image previews, and is automatically updated each time users browse the images.
JBF files are non-essential and can be safely deleted, however Paint Shop Pro will recreate them the next time you use the image browser, unless you disable caching images on the hard drive.
JBF files are typically saved under the name pspbrwse.jbf.
JBF files increase in size as images are scanned and, as such, can become very large depending on the number of images being scanned.
JBF files are used by some older versions of PaintShop Photo Pro, which was previously known by its acronym, PSP.
Software to open and work with JBF files
Although JBF files are not designed to be opened and/or edited by the user, they are supported by the following software package:
