Open PDI File

PDI files have various applications through different formats, some of them are listed below:

Pinnacle InstantCopy

PDI extension files are a DVD disc image "ripped" from the original DVD using Pinnacle Systems' InstantCopy DVD copy program.

Pinnacle Systems InstantCopy has been discontinued, and instead develops software for editing and capturing analog video via a hardware device.

Portable Database Image

The PDI file is also used as Portable Database Image, hence its acronym, it is a proprietary, lossless type format designed for complex data analysis, publishing, and distribution, specifically for data mining, artificial intelligence, and other applications.

The weight of a file is up to 1000 times lighter than an ordinary structured data file.

However, the PDI file does not present loss of details in its development.

The PDI format is digitally protected with source data encryption and is compatible with any OLEDB, including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel, through the OLAP tool.
