An RSD format file is a data file created for Rosetta Stone, which is a language learning program produced by Rosetta Stone, Inc.
The RSD format uses a combination of images, text, and sound, and the difficulty levels rise in line with the student and their progress.
An RSD file is a media file that is basically a Rosetta Stone proprietary binary container.
The RSD format contains the lesson data for the student to learn vocabulary and grammar functions without any translation.
The goal of the program is for students to learn the language they study naturally, just as if they were learning their mother tongue.
The RSD files are located in the "data and voice" folders within the Rosetta Stone file on the language disc.
Because RSD files contain language core data referenced by Rosetta Stone, they should not be opened manually.
