Open SRM File
The SRM file is a type of game file saved by a Super Nintendo emulation program.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (also known as Super NES, SNES or simply Super Nintendo) was the console released by Nintendo in the fourth generation, the 16-bit one.
In Japan it was released in 1990, 1991 in the US and 1992 in Europe and for the PAL or Southeast Asia regions.
In South America, the Super Nintendo did not make an appearance until 1993.
As for a console video emulator, it is a program or software package that allows one computer system to function as another.
Using an emulator allows people with modern computers to play games on outdated systems or other platforms without having to purchase an operating system or computer.
While it may be great to play the original Atari Donkey Kong on a modern computer, there is considerable copyright dispute with the emulations.
The SRM file is created by storing the state of Saved RAM or SRAM to a file so that game progress can be resumed at a later time.
Supported software packages, to work with an SRM file
The SRM file is compatible with Snes9x and ZSNES, the two most popular Super Nintendo emulators.
