WAL files present, up to now, two applications of a different nature, namely:
Winamp
In this application, WAL files are a customization of the modern 'skin' used to modify the interface of Winamp, a music player program for Windows.
Quake 2
In this section, a WAL file is functional for Quake and is used to map textures on walls and other objects.
The WAL file is a proprietary image format used by the Quake II first-person shooter video game.
