Open PIM File
Files with the PIM extension have several uses, namely:
Pro Tools Controller
In this case, the PIM extension files contain a custom layout of
parameters for a control surface, allowing you to save and reload plug-in
control surface assignments.
PIM files are created automatically by the Pro Tools tool, which is a
digital audio workstation for recording, editing, and mixing audio.
PIM Archive
In this case, the PIM files are compressed files created with the PIM archiver, developed by Ilia Muraviev.
One of the advantages of this type of file is that it allows high compression ratios with multimedia files.
To open and operate on a PIM file, you must first make sure of the file type, and then have one of the following programs installed on your system:
- Pro Tools
- PIM Archive (Not Available)
